Chantal Lafrenière
Chantal is a pioneer in the field of jaw disorders in Quebec, with over 35 years’ experience in the field. After obtaining her diploma in physiotherapy from the Université de Montréal in 1987, she went on to earn a master’s degree in jaw dysfunction research at the University of Ottawa, where she also taught undergraduate courses in physiotherapy. Chantal has also given continuing education courses and numerous lectures on temporomandibular disorders, cranio-orofacial pain and vestibular rehabilitation for the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec, and at various conferences and symposia for osteopaths, dentists and ENT specialists. In 2005, she also obtained a diploma in osteopathy from the Académie Still Québec, which has enabled her to improve the treatment of craniocervical and craniofacial disorders. Over the past 25 years, she has also taken several advanced training courses on vestibular disorders and rehabilitation.
Chantal’s expertise enables her to treat complex neural conditions of the head, such as trigeminal neuralgia, dystonia, Bell’s palsy, complex jaw dysfunctions, facial, ear and throat pain, as well as musculoskeletal headaches, vertigo, dizziness, loss of balance and tinnitus. She also treats children suffering from plagiocephaly and torticollis.
